The assessment was realized on research plots of West Carpathian sub province. Results are discussed with classi cation of Fagetum nudum as a type of acidophilus beech forest and we can see a high di erence of topsoil chemism of Fagetum nudum contrary with a beech wood with an understory cover density higher than 15%. Observed sites of na- ked beech wood show higher trophic properties and higher values of pH as well as higher available nutrients content. This paper is concluded with an accent on a nature of beech forest and an anthropic in uence in the past which can cause a similar perception of naked beech monocultures however potentially present phytocoenoses would be di erent. %K Fagetum nudum %K acidophilous beech forest %K soil acidity %K nutrients in soil %K European beech %K Luzulo-fagetum %U http://www.mendelu.cz/dok_server/slozka.pl?id=57761;download=71625
