A Cristianiza o da Noruega e o Fortalecimento da Monarquia Norueguesa: uma perspectiva histórico-literária

The medieval Norse Literature has the sagas as one of its most significant manifestations; in them, different social aspects of the Germanic world are represented. By taking the historical and literary contextualization of the social and cultural aspects of the Icelandic sagas as a starting point, the present paper aims to show the relationship between Norway’s Christianization process during the reign of Olaf Tryggvason and the strengthening of the Norwegian monarchy, as well as how these developments can be seen in the Icelandic tale S rla Tháttr through a literary and discourse analysis.
