%X The medieval Norse Literature has the sagas as one of its most significant manifestations; in them, different social aspects of the Germanic world are represented. By taking the historical and literary contextualization of the social and cultural aspects of the Icelandic sagas as a starting point, the present paper aims to show the relationship between Norway¡¯s Christianization process during the reign of Olaf Tryggvason and the strengthening of the Norwegian monarchy, as well as how these developments can be seen in the Icelandic tale S rla Th¨¢ttr through a literary and discourse analysis.
