ESCUELA Y CIUDADANíA: REFLEXIONES DESDE LAS SIGNIFICACIONES IMAGINARIAS Y LA AUTOREFLEXIVIDAD School and citizenship: reflects from the imaginary meanings and the self-reflectiveness

Reflexionar sobre la ciudadanía, en condición de latinoamericanos, es ubicarse dentro de esa mixtura de significaciones imaginarias que nos ha propuesto el capitalismo en su doble expresión de producción y consumo. En un momento en donde la pérdida del vínculo social y del proyecto común, denominado por Castoriadis como el avance de la insignificancia, ha afectado la forma de configurar el sujeto y las maneras de asumir la ciudadanía, se hace necesario hacer del ámbito escolar y de sus prácticas pedagógicas un espacio de formación en la autonomía, en la cual la solidaridad y la sensibilidad social se conviertan en dispositivos de reconocimiento y visibilización de lo que nos puede ser extra o: nuestras y nuestros jóvenes. Igualmente se propone hacer de la escuela no sólo una institución de saber, sino un escenario de formación que propicie el reconocimiento del otro, genere ámbitos de libertad para la transformación del sí mismo y problematice las significaciones imaginarias, mediante prácticas estéticas configuradoras de formas de subjetivación y de participación política To reflect on citizenship, from our perspective of Latin Americans, is to locate ourselves within this kaleidoscope of imaginary meanings that capitalism with its double expression of both production and consumption has proposed to us. In a moment in which the loss of the social link and the common project, named by Castoriadis as the advance of insignificance, has affected the way to configurate the individual and the ways to assume citizenship, it has become mandatory to make the school environment along with its pedagogical practices an opportunity of formation in autonomy, with solidarity and social sensibility as the recognition and making visible of what looks strange to us: our young men and young women. Similarly, the school should not just be a knowledge institution, but a formation scenario to promote the recognition of others, to generate freedom possibilities for the transformation of the individuals themselves and to problemize imaginary meanings through subjectivization and political participation configurating esthetical practices
