About the Name of the “Bodon ar-Munghah”

Bodonchar which is the name of the ancester of Chinggis khan is written in several forms in mongolian sources. We considered it bodon-char by ethimologic views. Regarding to mongolian myth and ethos, we suggest Bodonchar is a traditional name which have meaning of intellectual, rational and heroic. But Char is a version of title which early Turkic, Uyghur, and Kirgiz leaders used to use before or after their name. Also “munghah”, the word mentioned with his name, have meaning of thornless. In other words it has a meaning of not have might and kind of shaming nickname.
