Unusual presentation of Wilson’s disease in a child: a diagnostic dilemma to the cliniciansKeywords: Wilson Disease , neurological manifestation , child , Kayser-Fleischer ring Abstract: In children, Wilson Disease (WD) presents more often with hepatic manifestations. After the age of 20 years, 75% of cases present with neurological manifestations and 25% with both hepatic and neuropsychiatric manifestations. Also literature suggests that there is correlation between brain finding on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and clinical features. We present a rare case of Wilson disease in 12 year male child who come to us with neuropsychiatric manifestation without hepatic involvement. MRI suggested neurological manifestation due cerebral cortex involvement.
