Reflexiones en torno a los aportes teóricos y conceptuales de la obra del Dr. Emilio Setién Quesada

Se presentan varias de los aportes teóricos y conceptuales que el Dr. Emilio Setién Quesada ha desarrollado a través de sus investigaciones. Específicamente se menciona la identificación de los elementos esenciales y propiciadores de las actividades bibliológicos – informativas. Su concepción de la bibliotecología como parte de las Ciencias Sociales y la proyección del fenómeno bibliotecario como partícipe en la gestión del conocimiento. También se presenta sus se alamientos sobre el carácter creador del trabajo bibliotecario y la promoción de la lectura. Se pretende promover la lectura de sus trabajos y reconocer sus aportaciones en el campo de la bibliotecología y ciencias de la información. Abstract The purpose of this article is to promote Professor Emilio Setien’s works and recognize his contributions in the field of library and information sciences. Display several of the theoretical and conceptual contributions that Professor Setién’s has developed through his investigations. Specifically it mentions the identification of the basic elements that bring about the bibliological –informative activities. His conception of the Library Science as part of the social science and the projection of the librarian work as the promoter of knowledge. It also mentions his ideas about the creative character of the librarian work and the reading promotion.
