%X Se presentan varias de los aportes te車ricos y conceptuales que el Dr. Emilio Seti谷n Quesada ha desarrollado a trav谷s de sus investigaciones. Espec赤ficamente se menciona la identificaci車n de los elementos esenciales y propiciadores de las actividades bibliol車gicos 每 informativas. Su concepci車n de la bibliotecolog赤a como parte de las Ciencias Sociales y la proyecci車n del fen車meno bibliotecario como part赤cipe en la gesti車n del conocimiento. Tambi谷n se presenta sus se alamientos sobre el car芍cter creador del trabajo bibliotecario y la promoci車n de la lectura. Se pretende promover la lectura de sus trabajos y reconocer sus aportaciones en el campo de la bibliotecolog赤a y ciencias de la informaci車n. Abstract The purpose of this article is to promote Professor Emilio Setien＊s works and recognize his contributions in the field of library and information sciences. Display several of the theoretical and conceptual contributions that Professor Seti谷n＊s has developed through his investigations. Specifically it mentions the identification of the basic elements that bring about the bibliological 每informative activities. His conception of the Library Science as part of the social science and the projection of the librarian work as the promoter of knowledge. It also mentions his ideas about the creative character of the librarian work and the reading promotion.
