FORMULACIóN COGNITIVA DE CASO EN DEPRESIóN UNIPOLAR: UNA PROPUESTA METODOLóGICA PARA COLOMBIA

This review searches to analyze the development and validation of the Cognitive Case Formulation like an instrument that provide more effective treatment for unipolar depression, likewise is established as a public health problem that ranks first in disability worldwide (OMS, 2005), with prevalence in Colombia of 15% of all mental disorders (MPS, 2005). These data indicate the importance of to create effective treatments and the generation of studies that account for validated processes for the population of Bogotá DC., correlated with the law 1090 of 2006. One effective treatment is Cognitive Therapy, which is structured, limited and uses a guide for evaluating and organizing information called Cognitive Case Formulation, which is a process of inference of the causes and maintenance factors of the problem, that guides the treatment plan. Finally, we proposed methodological specifications.
