%X This review searches to analyze the development and validation of the Cognitive Case Formulation like an instrument that provide more effective treatment for unipolar depression, likewise is established as a public health problem that ranks first in disability worldwide (OMS, 2005), with prevalence in Colombia of 15% of all mental disorders (MPS, 2005). These data indicate the importance of to create effective treatments and the generation of studies that account for validated processes for the population of Bogot¨˘ DC., correlated with the law 1090 of 2006. One effective treatment is Cognitive Therapy, which is structured, limited and uses a guide for evaluating and organizing information called Cognitive Case Formulation, which is a process of inference of the causes and maintenance factors of the problem, that guides the treatment plan. Finally, we proposed methodological specifications.
