Empirical analysis carried out employing the VAR procedure indicates the presence of one cointegrating vector among real output, real tourism receipts and real effective exchange rate and tourism has a long-run effect on output. In addition, test results show the presence of one-directional causality indicating that tourism and exchange rate causes output.
