O LAVRADO DA SERRA DA LUA EM RORAIMA E PERSPECTIVAS PARA ESTUDOS DA HERPETOFAUNA NA REGI O / THE LAVRADO OF SERRA DA LUA IN ROARAIMA AND PERSPECTIVES OF HERPETOFAUNAL STUDIES IN THE REGION

O lavrado de Roraima, uma das áreas abertas mais extensas do domínio morfoclimático amaz nico no Brasil, tem uma rica diversidade de espécies de anfíbios e répteis distribuída nos hábitats regionais deste ecossistema. Neste relato s o discutidos aspectos gerais da estrutura do lavrado e perspectivas de estudos da herpetofauna na regi o da Serra da Lua, situada nas áreas de lavrado entre os rios Tacutu e Branco.The lavrado of Roraima, one of the most extensive open areas of the Amazonian morphoclimatic domain in Brasil, support a reach amphibian and reptile species diversity distributed in the regional habitats of this ecosystem. In this report it is discussed the general structural aspects of the lavrado and perspectives of herpetofaunal studies in the Serra da Lua region, located in the lavrado areas between the Tacutu and Branco rivers.
