%X O lavrado de Roraima, uma das ¨¢reas abertas mais extensas do dom¨ªnio morfoclim¨¢tico amaz nico no Brasil, tem uma rica diversidade de esp¨¦cies de anf¨ªbios e r¨¦pteis distribu¨ªda nos h¨¢bitats regionais deste ecossistema. Neste relato s o discutidos aspectos gerais da estrutura do lavrado e perspectivas de estudos da herpetofauna na regi o da Serra da Lua, situada nas ¨¢reas de lavrado entre os rios Tacutu e Branco.The lavrado of Roraima, one of the most extensive open areas of the Amazonian morphoclimatic domain in Brasil, support a reach amphibian and reptile species diversity distributed in the regional habitats of this ecosystem. In this report it is discussed the general structural aspects of the lavrado and perspectives of herpetofaunal studies in the Serra da Lua region, located in the lavrado areas between the Tacutu and Branco rivers.
