The empiric author, exiled himself too, imagines the last eight years of Ovid’s life that represented a time of waiting, remaking his faith, renouncing of the gods in favor of God, and even more, a time of finding himself. With his novel, Horia Vintil was both included in and excluded from the French society, continuing thus the condition of the exiled writer.
