Does Philosophy for Children Belong in School at All?

I want to talk about the relationship between philosophy. for children and school. By school I am referring to kindergarten through high school, and I am thinking especially of public schoolin the United States (although what I have to say here will apply in other contexts as well). In particular, I am interested in the contrasts between the principles underlying philosophy for children and the predominant features of schooling.
