The essay argues that cultural factors are key to designing and managing public organizations. The specific “demons” of chilean culture are analyzed and their generative mechanism is speculatively proposed, with low self-esteem as the fundamental one, it is proposed, finally, eventually overcoming these sociopathologies through the adaptation and use of new management re-humanizing technologies.
