Resumo: Este artigo é parte integrante da pesquisa intitulada “Reflex es sobre a rela o entre Educa o e trabalho no contexto da forma o profissional”. Seu eixo norteador é a busca pela compreens o da constru o histórica da forma o profissional no Brasil, em especial, na década de 1990. Portanto, analisaremos no presente trabalho as políticas existentes frente à profissionaliza o do trabalhador desde meados da década de 1940 – período em que a Educa o sofre algumas reformas e no qual temos também o surgimento do SENAC e do SENAI para dar suporte educacional, visando atender à demanda do capital – até o término da década de 1990, identificando a constru o política do Ensino Médio no Brasil e os interesses do sistema capitalista, implícitos nessas reformula es. Abstract: This article is part of a research entitled “Reflections about the relationship between education and work in the context of professional education”. It seeks to understand the historical development of professional education in Brazil, especially in the 1990s. Therefore, the article analyzes the politics towards the training of workers since the 1940s – a time when education underwent reforms, and institutions such as SENAC and SENAI emerged to give educational support to workers in order to meet the demands of capitalism – until the end of the 1990′s. The article also seeks to identify the political development of secondary education in Brazil and the interests of the capitalist system on these reforms.
