Les technologies de l’information et de la communication : un objet transitionnel ?

L’approche psychanalytique des technologies de l’information et de la communication a longtemps considéré celles-ci comme un objet magique, dans le champ de l’éducation ou de la remédiation, mettant en avant que l’ordinateur ou le cyberespace sont de véritables objets transitionnels. Or force est de constater qu’en dépit de ces propositions, les TIC sont loin d’être vécues, pour tous les enseignants et tous les élèves, comme tels. D’ailleurs penser l’ordinateur, même connecté au réseau Internet, comme un objet transitionnel par essence, constituerait à coup s r une interprétation un peu rapide de la théorie de Winnicott. Ce texte sera l’occasion de réfléchir précisément sur ces situations où l’ordinateur s’installe dans une aire intermédiaire, en reprenant les propositions de Winnicott. Il s’agira donc de tenter de cerner, d’une part, à quelles conditions les technologies de l’information et de la communication, dans la sphère professionnelle, peuvent se prêter au jeu et, d’autre part, comment les enseignants peuvent être en capacité de jouer avec ces technologies dans leurs pratiques professionnelles. In psychoanalytical oriented approach, information and communication technologies have been considered, for a long time in the field of the education, as a magical object. Researchers often advance that computer and cyberspace are transitional objects. But, in spite of these propositions, we have to admit that ICT are far from being lived as transitional, by all the teachers and all the pupils. Moreover to think the computer, even connected to the Internet network, as a transitional object by definition, would certainly constitute a too fast reading of the Winnicott’s theory. This text will give the opportunity to rethink about these situations where the computer really takes place in a transitional space. The aim of this paper is to show, on one hand, on which conditions the ITC, in the professional sphere, can be played, on the other hand, how teachers can be capable of playing with these technologies in professional practices.
