EFFECTIVENESS OF COMPUTER ASSISTED INSTRUCTION IN TEACHING ENGLISH AT HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL

In the field of Educational Technology, the latest technological advancement is the use of Computer in Education. It is a development of systematic programmed learning and teaching machine. It is a self-instructional device with the principle of atomization. It is an effective media and an indispensable aid in the teaching-learning process. The instructional process carried out with the help of computer is known as Computer Assisted Instruction [CAI].In the present study the researcher made an attempt to explore the effectiveness of computer assisted instruction in teaching English at higher secondary level.
