Análisis del PLAN DE SUR DE MéXICO (2006)Abstract: The politics of migration nowadays are considered as international issues. The increasing number of migrants –and especially irregular ones- over the last four decades, obligated the governments to develop policies at different levels: bilateral and multilateral, considering the great impact of migration in their internationalrelationships. The multilateral approach in managing the international migration in North of America, led the governments of México and United States to regard migration as an issue of national sovereignty and created policy changes which affect the status of the migrants with no documents. This article tries to “read” one of the principal politics of Mexico known as PLAN SUR DE MéXICO (2006), and interpret through the original document of the plan, the motives of the two governments in the confrontation of the organized crime and the irregular migration.
