Schizo-obsessive DisorderDOI: 10.5455/cap.20130513 Keywords: Schizophrenia , obsessive compulsive disorder , schizo-obsessive disorder. Abstract: Obsessive-compulsive features are common in schizophrenia. Current genetic, neurobiological, clinical and epidemiological data about obsessive-compulsive symptoms/disorder in schizophrenia suppose that schizophrenia combined with obsessive compulsive disorder is more than a mere comorbidity. Epidemiologic and neurobiological evidence suggest that the patients with comorbid obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia may present a special category among patients with schizophrenia. Although a specific profile has not been emerged yet; clinical, neurobiological research about schizo-obsessive patients have been extensively pursued.
