Current genetic, neurobiological, clinical and epidemiological data about obsessive-compulsive symptoms/disorder in schizophrenia suppose that schizophrenia combined with obsessive compulsive disorder is more than a mere comorbidity. Epidemiologic and neurobiological evidence suggest that the patients with comorbid obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia may present a special category among patients with schizophrenia. Although a specific profile has not been emerged yet; clinical, neurobiological research about schizo-obsessive patients have been extensively pursued. %K Schizophrenia %K obsessive compulsive disorder %K schizo-obsessive disorder. %U http://www.cappsy.org/archives/vol5/no2/cap_05_13.pdf
