Neurotology findings in the internuclear ophthalmoplegia. Case report

Internuclear ophthalmoplegia is characterized by a paresis of the adduction of the affected eye and abduction nystagmus of the contralateral eye. This pathology implies an injury of the longitudinal medial fascicle. It can appears isolated or associated with other pathologies.Sometimes this disease begins with a disequilibrium. That is why patients are usually referred to an otoneurology specialist, where they are thoroughly examined to show the typical nystagmus without vestibular failure.In this paper we present a patient who came to the otoneurology specialist. She sufered from desiquilibrium without other symptoms for several months.
