Indonesia's Predicament on Counterterrorism Policy in the Era of Democratic Transition

A comprehensive assessment is needed on Indonesia’s counterterrorism policy, which is currently being implemented, to ensure Indonesia’s transition to democracy will be stable and not snared as a failed state. The worst scenario envisaged is a possible disintegration as a result of the never ending spiral of conflict. The objective of this article is to disclose factors that influenced the decision-making process on counterterrorism policy in Indonesia.
