Anaesthetic Management of Tracheo-Esophageal Malformation in a Neonate with Atypical Scimitar SyndromeKeywords: Tracheo-esophageal fistula , esophageal atresia , pulmonary hypoplasia , dextroposition , situs solitus , Scimitar syndrome Abstract: Congenital Tracheoesophageal fistula is an abnormal communication between the trachea and the esophagus with or without esophageal atresia. We report a patient who was a preterm, low birth weight neonate with multiple congenital malformations like hypoplasia of the right lung and right pulmonary artery, dextroposition of the heart, patent ductus arteriosus and atrial septal defect. Interestingly, despite a normally draining right pulmonary vein, his chest X-ray showed "Scimitar sign".
