Sudi is an author who wrote interpretation of Hafiz Divan, Bostan and Gulistan which are essential Persian classics and were read widely in the world as well as in Ottoman Empire with great pleasure. In Sudi’s erh-i Gulistan, there are many critics about the previous interpretations of Gulistan. One of the targets of the critics is em’i. In the work, there are critics on em’i approximately in five hundred places. Although these critics are complicated in some ways, these can be grouped into three main titles: The critics relating to the differences from the main copy, the critics on meaning and the critics on grammar, style and verse forms. In this article, brief information about both interpreters and their interpretations about Gulistan will be given. After this introduction, Sudi’s critics on em’i’s carelessness and mistakes to determine the sound texts and differences from the main copy will be classified and these critics and justifications will be explained in details. Consequently it will be tried to determine which annotator is more accurate in his justifications.
