SOCIAL-LINGUISTIC BASES OF TRANSLATION

Researching the connection of translation studies and social linguistics in PRC and foreign countries lets the author conclude: using a social-linguistic principle in translation studies the researcher should take into account esthetics, stylistics and pragmatics. The translator should give particular attention to the speech sociality and social-stylistic coloring, as the translation is transformation-reproduction of social vision images of the original, there is a social-linguistic image of the translator, and also a social principle of his choice in the translational operation, and the translator’s style.
