INTERNAL ASSESSMENT OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES - SWOT ANALYSIS / Vnnútorné hodnotenie innosti koly – SWOT analyza

The first part of the work deals with the internal evaluation of activities of a school with a modified system of quality management TQM. We put emphasis on the internal assessment and we present methods and techniques for evaluating the school functions (education process); in more detail we discuss one of the evaluation methods - the SWOT analysis. We describe its realisation, definition, use of its outcomes, strategies and benefits of implementing the modified TQM philosophy in high schools. In the second part of the work we present the results of a SWOT analysis conducted at a high school for construction and engineering. The analysis relates to the school as a whole, mainly to the improvement of its processes (other than the education process which will be the topic of further works). Consequently we propose recommendations resulting from the SWOT analysis and from a survey conducted upon the results of the SWOT analysis.V prvej asti príspevku sa zaoberáme vnútornym hodnotením innosti koly so zavedením modifikovaného systému mana érstva kvality TQM. D raz kladieme na vnútorné hodnotenie a následne uvádzame metódy a techniky hodnotenia innosti koly (vyu by) a podrobnej ie rozoberáme jednu z metód hodnotenia a to SWOT analyzu. Uvádzame jej prevedenie, vysvetlenie, vyu itie vysledkov, stratégie a prínosy v systéme zavedenia a uplatnenia modifikovanej filozofie TQM na strednej kole. V druhej asti príspevku prezentujeme vysledky zo SWOT analyzy uskuto nenej na Strednej priemyselnej kole stavebnej. Analyza sa tyka koly ako celku, jedná sa predov etkym o zlep enie procesov koly okrem vyu ovacieho (náplň dal ích príspevkov), následne uvádzame odporú ania plynúce zo SWOT analyzy a z dotazovania zostaveného na základe vysledkov SWOT analyzy.
