The first one deals with the role of motivation in the mathematical activities of a student. Theoretically speaking, we have included the forms of motivation in mathematical activities. We have concentrated on the third form of motivation, i.e. motivation through historical notes in the technique of mathematical education. The first part of this article introduces facts, which resulted in a qualitatively new stage in the development of mathematics in the 17th century. It was in the said century that the so called “high mathematics” comes into being, mathematics is set in momentum and it ceases to be a science based on stable quantities. The second part of this article is the central one, for it analyses in brief the origin and development of infinitesimal calculus. It mentions famous mathematicians and their mathematical contributions in the given period, for their work has never ceased to exist. Their ideas are not only the core of the mathematical curriculum in primary schools, but also in secondary schools and various universities all over the world. Z teoretickych prameňov sú uvedené formy motivácie matematickej innosti. Pozornos sa venuje tretej forme motivácie, t.j. motivácii historickymi poznámkami v technológii matematickej edukácie. Prvá as príspevku priná a preh ad faktov, ktoré vyústili v 17. storo í do vzniku kvalitatívne novej etapy vyvoja matematiky.V spomínanom storo í vzniká tzv. vy ia matematika. Vstupuje do nej pohyb a matematika prestáva by vedou len o stálych veli inách. Druhá as príspevku je nosnou, lebo analyzuje stru ne vznik a vyvoj infinitezimálneho po tu. Spomína mená a prínos vyzna nych matematikov tej doby. Ich dielo ije aj v sú asnosti.
