Author focuses in the contribution on the conceptual background and development of methodology with the aim on international research to assess the quality of teaching the technical education at lower secondary level of education in the Slovak Republic and in the Flemish community of Belgium in relation to the references of the European Union. With this in mind defines the range of factors that significantly affect, respectively makes the quality of the teaching process. Author takes an attention also to the development of a questionnaire used as a tool for collecting research data and showing the results of the reliability/item analysis, which was tested a quality of research tool with. Determination of the research sample is included in the chapter for further action research investigation. Finally, the author assesses in the contribution the relevant factors in relation to their impact on the quality of technical education in the Slovak Republic.Autorka sa v príspevku zameriava na koncep né vychodiská a vyvoj metodiky v rámci prípravy medzinárodného vyskumu zameraného na hodnotenie kvality vyu ovania predmetu technická vychova na ni om sekundárnom stupni vzdelávania v Slovenskej republike a vo vo flámskej komunite Belgicka vo vz ahu k odporú aniam Európskej únie. V tychto intenciách vymedzuje okruh faktorov, ktoré vyznamnou mierou ovplyvňujú, resp. podmieňujú kvalitu vyu ovacieho procesu. Pozornos venuje i vyvoju dotazníka pou itého ako nástroj zberu vyskumnych údajov, pri om uvádza vysledky analyzy spo ahlivosti polo iek, prostredníctvom ktorej bola overovaná kvalita vyskumného nástroja. Stanovenie vyskumnej vzorky bolo sú as ou kapitoly al ieho postupu vyskumného zis ovania. Záverom príspevku autorka posudzuje relevantné faktory v súvislosti s ich vplyvom na kvalitu technického vzdelávania v Slovenskej republike.
