Abstract:

The paper is divided into three interrelated parts. The first part introduces various stages of the science of teaching mathematics, covering all historical eras of the discipline from ancient times to the present. In addition to summarising a number of goals in teaching mathematics in primary and secondary schools, the concluding passages of the first part include an analysis of the relationship between mathematics didactics and other related sciences. The second part of the paper compares mathematics didactics and the theory of teaching mathematics since it is often claimed that these two terms are synonymous, which is not correct. Subsequently, the complexity of the didactic system is presented in the form of an elaborate scheme. The third part of the paper makes a methodological contribution to the issues under scrutiny, explaining the etymology of the word 'mathematics,' describing various eras and stages in its development, and clarifying the essence, development, and focus of mathematics as a science. By and large, the paper mainly aims to present theoretical starting points of the chosen issues, often providing juxtapositions of noteworthy claims by various personalities in the field. Vz ah didaktiky matematiky k inym vedám je stru ne analyzovany v závere prvej asti príspevku, kde sú aj zhrnuté niektoré ciele vyu ovania matematiky na základnych a strednych kolách. Druhá as príspevku porovnáva didaktiku matematiky a teóriu vyu ovania matematiky, lebo v edukácii sa tieto pojmy mnohokrát pova ujú za synonymá, o nie je korektné. Didakticky systém a jeho zlo itos je vyjadreny schémou. Tretia as lánku vhodne metodologicky dop ňa celú problematiku. Vysvet uje p vod slova matematika, priná a obdobia a etapy jej vyvoja, objasňuje podstatu, vystavbu a obsah matematiky. Cie om príspevku je priblí i a sprístupni itate ovi predov etkym teoretické vychodiská zvolenej problematiky. Za pozornos stoja citáty vyzna nych osobností s hlbokymi my lienkami. Príspevok má zna ny stimula ny a eduka ny náboj.
