Grammar schools' students , Gender differences Abstract: The article informs about the outcome of the probe into the study on the motivation of students of the second and third grade of grammar school in chemistry. It is focused on the structure of the motivation, which is compared with the outcome of the research of grammar schools' students in Czech Republic and on the gender differences in the motivation of students. The study comprises the analysis of the ability of teachers to identify the prevailing type of motivation of their students spontaneously as well.Príspevok referuje o vysledkoch vyskumnej sondy zameranej na zistenie u ebnej motivácie iakov 2. a 3. ro níkov gymnázia v predmete chémia. Upriamuje pozornos na truktúru u ebnej motivácie, ktorú orienta ne porovnáva s vysledkami vyskumu stredo kolákov v eskej republike, a na rodové rozdiely v motivácii iakov. Sú as ou práce je tie analyza schopností u ite ov intuitívne diagnostikova preva ujúcu u ebnú motiváciu svojich iakov.
