Fethiye‘de Düz Dokumac l k ve Günümüzdeki Durumu

Fethiye, a district of Mu la province, is an important center in which flat weaving activities have been carried out for a long time. Flat weavings have been done for a long time in order to meet weavers’ own needs in the region. Weaving activities in Fethiye include the dye of yarns and the production of flat weavings via a variety of weaving techniques such as kilim, jejim, sili. There is not a professional marketing of flat weavings. However, there are families weaving make to order. Today flat weaving in Fethiye has lost its former importance. However, weaving is still in progress as a handcraft of indigenous. Fethiye flat weavings meet families’ own needs, and sometimes contribute to the home economics by providing them income. In this paper, demographic characteristics of weavers, weaving purposes of weavers, information related weaving preoccupation, yarn, pattern, loom supplies, weaving techniques, the general properties of the woven materials, the current problems and solutions have been analyzed and the current status of flat weaving in the district of Fethiye has been presented. zetMu la line ba l Fethiye l esi, eskiden beri düz dokumac l k faaliyetlerinin yürütüldü ü nemli bir merkezdir. Fethiye’de dokumac l k faaliyetleri; dokuma ipliklerinin boyanmas ve kilim, zili, cicim gibi e itli tekniklerle dokumalar n üretilmesini kapsamaktad r. Dokumalar n profesyonel bir ekilde pazarlanmas s z konusu de ildir. Ancak sipari üzerine dokuma yapan aileler vard r. Günümüzde Fethiye’de düz dokumac l k eski nemini kaybetmi tir. Bununla birlikte halen y reye zgü bir el sanat olarak sürdürülmektedir. Fethiye düz dokumalar , ailelerin kendi ihtiya lar n kar lamakta, bazen de gelir elde etmelerini sa layarak, ev ekonomisine katk da bulunmaktad r.
