Aproximación traductológica a los textos médico-jurídicos

Este trabajo propone una reflexión sobre el concepto de texto médico-jurídico y sobre los problemas que plantea su traducción. Para ello se definen en primer lugar los ámbitos y situaciones en que surgen y se ofrece un catálogo no exhaustivo de los más habituales. Cada género o grupo de géneros médico-jurídicos se describe brevemente y se analiza el tipo de encargo de traducción profesional en que se encuadran, así como las consideraciones traductológicas que llevan aparejadas. ------------------------------------------------- An approach to medico-legal translation. This article addresses the concept of the medico-legal text and the problem involved in translating this type of text. The fields and communicative situations which give rise to these texts are defined, and an abridged list of the most common types of text is provided. A brief description is given for each medico-legal genre or group of genres, with an analysis of the type of professional translation assignment under which it falls and any associated considerations for translation.
