La Nación, categoría para el análisis de las transformaciones en los proyectos de integración estatales: el caso de los libros de texto gratuitos The Nation, a Category for Analyzing the Changes in Projects of State Integration: The Case of Free Textbooks

Este artículo propone una reconceptualización de la categoría de Nación para afirmarla como concepto de explicación sociológica, misma que se enmarca entre los términos en los que se definen modelos históricos de integración al conjunto social establecido por la operación de un Estado. Se analiza la versión de nación mexicana en tres libros de texto gratuitos (LTG) de historia nacional correspondientes a sexenios presidenciales diferentes. El objetivo es identificar las divergencias y convergencias en el registro de los textos analizados para rastrear la acción estatal orientada hacia la actualización de los términos en que se define la membresía a la comunidad política. This article proposes a re-conceptualization of the category "nation" to affirm it as a concept for sociological explanation, framed among the terms in which historic models of integration of the whole of society established by the operation of a state are defined. The author analyzes the version of the Mexican nation presented in three free national history textbooks published under three different federal administrations. Her aim is to identify the divergences and overlaps in the texts to trace state actions oriented to updating the terms in which membership in the political community is defined.
