La Estadística Descriptiva y las TIC The Descriptive Statistics and the ICT

En este artículo se describe una innovación de la metodología tradicional de la asignatura Estadística Descriptiva incorporando las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC). La experiencia ha permitido establecer una colaboración entre varios profesores de la asignatura que imparten docencia en distintas titulaciones, tras revisar la planificación de la asignatura, y la implicación del alumno como parte activa de la construcción del conocimiento. La plataforma Moodle de la Universidad de Málaga ha facilitado la transmisión de una forma más dinámica de los conocimientos básicos de la Estadística, pudiendo dedicar más tiempo a las interpretaciones económicas y sociales de los ejercicios. This article describes an innovation of the traditional methodology in the subject Descriptive Statistics through the incorporation the Information Technology and Communication (ICT). The experience has helped to establish a partnership between various teachers who teach in different degrees, after reviewing the course planning and also has improved the student involvement as active partner in the knowledge construction. The Moodle, free and open-source e-learning software platform, of the University of Málaga has facilitated the transmission of a more dynamic basic knowledge of statistics and has allowed devoting more time to economic and social interpretations of the exercises.
