Study on the Separation of a-Amino Acid Enantiomers by High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC)with Urea Derivative as Chiral Stationary Phase
|
Abstract:
sing HPLC with urea derivative as chiral stationary phaxe the separations of racemic N-3,5-dinitroben-zoyl amino acid butyl esters by normaland reversed-phase liquid chromatography have been investigated. Theresults showed that the separalion by normal-phase chromatography was better than that by reversed-phasechromatography,and the opposite elution order was obtained. We thought that the chiral recognition mightmainlv be controlled bv the asvmmetric carbon atom of the R-1-(a-naphthyl) ethylamine component. Ano-ther asymmetric carbon atom,i.e. the one in the amino acid components might only contribute to improvethe enantioselectivity. The mobile phase also acted as an important role for the enantiomer separation.
