High performance Liquid Chromatographic (HPLC)Determinationof Trace Patulin and Penicillic Acid by Precolumn Derivatization with 4-(2-Phthalimidyl)Benzoyl Chloride
|
Abstract:
new and sensitive method was developed for the determination of trace patulin and penicllic acid byHPLC using ultraviolet detection. The method involves the esterification of patulin and penicillic acid by useof a derivative reagent , 4-(2-phthalimidyl)benzoyl chloride. The esterified toxins were simultaneously sepa-rated on an ODS column with acetonitrile-water(47:53,V/V)under acidic condition as the mobile phase anddetected at UV 3 0Onm. The detection limits of patulin and penicillic ac id were 2.0 pmol and 10 pmolrespectively.
