Robust predictive control of uncertain singular systems with both state and input delays

Abstract:
The problem of robust predictive control is investigated for uncertain singular systems with both state and input delays. The design method of robust predictive controller is proposed; the approximate solutions of optimal problems for infinite time interval and with quadratic performance index are calculated by means of Lyapunov stable theory and linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) technique; and the sufficient conditions for the existence of the robust predictive control are given. The feasibility of the optimization problems guarantees that the closed-loop singular time-delay systems are robustly stable, and the regularity and the impulse-free property of singular systems are also held. A simulation example illustrates the efficiency of this method.
