Study on Relationship between Urban Heat Island and Urban Land Use and Cover Change in Beijing
北京市城市热岛与土地利用／覆盖变化的关系研究

In this paper, taking advantages of RS and GIS technology, we firstly retrieved the urban surface temperature(LST) in Beijing from Landsat TM thermal-infrared data using the single-window algorithm. Then we analyzed the relationship between Urban Heat Island(UHI) effect and Urban Land Use and Land Cover Change(LUCC) character. This work provides some scientific basis for the reduction of UHI effect in Beijing.
