STUDY ON ANTIOXIDATION OF SACCHAROMYCES CEREVIAE Cu-METALLOTHIONEIN
|
Abstract:
Antioxidation of Xiccharomyces cerevisiae YBD101 CU-metallothionein was investigated. The results indicated that the YBD101 Cu-metallothionein could scavenge hydroxyl radicals. It was shown that this containing active Cu-metallotheonein of frozen cells could increase the acivity of SOD and decrease the content of LPO in liver of treated ageing mice. It was also observed that this Cu-metallothionein could inhibit the activity of MAO-B in brain, but it was not been observed that this Cu-metallodrionein could affect positively the change of activity of MAO-B in liver.Effects of yeast Cu-MT on antioxidation were as good as that of rabbit liver Zn-MT.It suggests that there is a promising prospect for applying YBD101 Cu-metallothionein to preclude ageing and to protect health.
