Processing hidden-image of 3D non-uniform FDTD meshes on OpenGL

Abstract:
Based on the analysis of the graphic characteristics of 3D meshes and the nature of data structure, according to depth-buffer mechanism of OpenGL, a new plotting way was presented, which adopt polygon depth offset modification in refined hidden-image. The way could increase the plotting speed and achieve high efficient hidden-image, so that the visual effect of mesh graphics for FDTD emulation and simulation was enhanced better, finally, a 3D grids pattern simulation system based on OpenGL was developed. As a sample, the U-shaped antenna meshes were demonstrated for visualization.
