SUGGESTION ON DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR CHINA''S HIGHER ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

In order to achieve sustainable development,it is imperative for us to innovate the higher environmental education.This paper proposes the following suggestions on reform and development of China's higher environmental education:raising environmental awareness in higher education strengthening integrated teaching and research in environmental programs;strengthening the humanities and social sciences in environmental programs;revising basic training specification and teaching requirements of programs and improving teaching methods;finding and developing the potential to meet the demands of qualified personnel in environmental protection;renewing environmental knowledge for faculty members of China's universities and colleges;establishing environmental education funds.
