Research and Optical System Design of a Pupilometer
瞳孔检测仪的研究及其光学系统设计

A binocular instrument for the measurement of pupil diameters is studied.The optical system design and some theoretical calculations are analyzed.The low-light CCD camera is used to acquire pupil images.Images are processed with a morphologic arithmetic to analyze and calculate the precise pupil diameters.Experimental results show the instrument precision reaches 0.01 mm under 0 -200 lux.Because of the prominent relationship between the pupil diameter under scotopic illumination and the post operation subjective sight,the pupil diameter is an indispensable information for oculists before refractive operation.
