王怀军 %A 田野 %A 方志良 %J 光子学报 %D 2008 %I %X A binocular instrument for the measurement of pupil diameters is studied.The optical system design and some theoretical calculations are analyzed.The low-light CCD camera is used to acquire pupil images.Images are processed with a morphologic arithmetic to analyze and calculate the precise pupil diameters.Experimental results show the instrument precision reaches 0.01 mm under 0 -200 lux.Because of the prominent relationship between the pupil diameter under scotopic illumination and the post operation subjective sight,the pupil diameter is an indispensable information for oculists before refractive operation. %K Medical optics %K Pupilometer %K Refractive surgery %K Morphologic arithmetic
