CERIUM CONVERSION FILM DEPOSITED ON INDUSTRIAL PURE ALUMINUM BY ELECTROLYSIS

Cerium conversion film was successfully deposited on industrial pure aluminum in alkaline cerium solution using cathodic electrolysis method with two steps. Two kinds of two-step techniques for the formation of cerium conversion film using cathodic electrolysis method, named as TS2/TS7, TS3/TS7respectively, were discussed. It was noticed that the corrosion resistance of L4 industrial pure aluminum was greatly improved in chloride environment after the treatment of TS2/TS7 and TS3/TS7.
