%X Cerium conversion film was successfully deposited on industrial pure aluminum in alkaline cerium solution using cathodic electrolysis method with two steps. Two kinds of two-step techniques for the formation of cerium conversion film using cathodic electrolysis method, named as TS2/TS7, TS3/TS7respectively, were discussed. It was noticed that the corrosion resistance of L4 industrial pure aluminum was greatly improved in chloride environment after the treatment of TS2/TS7 and TS3/TS7.
