THE STUDY ADVANCE IN PRODUCTION OF POlYUNSATURATED FATTY ACID BY MICROBIAL FERMENTATION

Abstract:
This article introduced the biochemical study on producing polyunsaturated fatty acids by microorganism and emphasize the new advance in production of polyunsaturated fatty acid by microbial fermentation.We review the recent progress on studies of screening of high yield mutant strain through induced mutation and gene enginerring and discuss the important factors that work during the process in the production of PUFA.The separation,purification of PUFA are also briefly investigated. At last the development prospects of PUFA production by Microbial Fermentation were briefly outlined.
