SYNTHESIS OF LINEAR CONJUGATED POLYBENZONITRILE WITH ULTRAFAST OPTICAL KERR EFFECT

Plasma polymerization of benzonitrile (BN) was carried out with RF glow discharge systems (13.56MHz). The structure of polymer was characterized by means of IR,UV-VIS, Elemental Analysis and MS. For the first time the nonresonant opticaI Kerr effect of polymer in DMF solution was measured with femtosecond laser pulses.
