DOPING AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF NANOCRYSTALLINE SnO_2
|
Abstract:
SnO2 nanocrystalline powder doped with variable ratios of Fe have been preparedty sol-gel method. The phase and grain-size, and their evolution of the powder have been studied by XRD, TEM, DTA and Mossbauer spectrometer. For the pewder with Fe/Sn atomic ratios range from 14.3/100 to 38-5/100, they are all SnO2 phases with Fe atoms as the solute in the lattice. Thegrain-size reaches about 2nm. Fe doping takes the role of reducing SnO2 grain-size, and restrain the grain growth during heat treatment, and thus favorable to keep the nanostructure of the material whenthe powder be sintered to form the gas-sensitive elements.
